Selection Guide for F3 Cell Culture Buffers:
● DPBS has slightly lower phosphate content than PBS. For fragile cells such as embryonic or primary dissociated cells, DPBS is recommended for washing, whereas PBS is suitable for cell lines and tumor cells.
● Hanks buffer contains glucose to provide basic nutrients. Suitable for longer digestion procedures or short-term cell transport and storage.
● HEPES has good buffering capacity within the pH range of 7.2–7.6, suitable for cell culture requiring precise pH conditions or open culture systems such as during cell observation.
● When dissociating cells, calcium- and magnesium-free buffers should be selected to avoid affecting the digestion efficiency of trypsin.
