Product Information

Application	For the cultivation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Pichia pastoris.
Preparation	Suspend 1bag of SD premix(24g) in 500mL of distilled water, sterilize by filtration or autoclaving at 121 ° C for 15 minutes
Principle	Synthetic defined (SD) medium is a fully synthetic yeast culture medium composed of YNB, dextrose, 11 amino acids, and nucleotide molecules. It lacks one or more specific nutrients, enabling the selection of yeast strains capable of expressing the missing component(s) or the activation of corresponding reporter genes. YNB provides growth factors and inorganic salts required for yeast growth, ammonium sulfate serves as the inorganic nitrogen source, and dextrose functions as the fermentable carbon source.
