DESCRIPTION	Chocolate Agar Base
APPLICATION	For the cultivation of fastidious bacteria such as Haemophilus and Neisseria; not for microbial identification or antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
PREPARATION	1. Suspend 34.5 g in 1 L of purified water. Heat with frequent agitation and boil to completely dissolve the powder. Distribute and autoclave at 121 ℃ for 15 minutes.
	2. Cool to 45–50 ℃, add 7–10% sterile defibrinated sheep blood and mix well.
	3. Heat the mixture in an 85 ℃ water bath for 10–15 minutes (with constant agitation) until the medium turns brown. Cool to 50 ℃, then pour into sterile Petri dishes.

	Pancreatic Digest of Casein	7.5
	Peptone	7.5
	Liver Infusion Powder	2.5
	Sodium Chloride	5.0
	Agar	12.0
	Final pH (25℃)	7.3±0.2
STORAGE	Store in a dark and dry place at 2‑25 ℃, tighten the bottle cap immediately after use.
SHELF LIFE	Shelf life of sealed product is 3 years.
PRECAUTIONS	1. NOT for clinical use.
	2. Do not use this product if it is lumpy.
	3. After use, all contaminated materials must be autoclaved at 121 °C for 30 minutes and then disposed of.
