In the solid phase synthesis of peptide, the extension of peptide is proceeding on insoluble polystyrene resin support. C-terminal of polypeptide reaction with chloromethyleted polystyrene (chlorinated benzyl ester resin) first to form benzyl ester, and then extend peptide chain by the order of the primary structure of protected amino acid added individually.
